Businessman, Onwuamana, Shot Dead by Unknown Gunmen in Ibadan

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the death of Mr Linus Onwuamana after he was attacked and shot by unidentified assailants around 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Oyo Affairs understands from reports at the scene that Mr Linus was driving a bus along the Mokola-Sango road in Ibadan, Oyo State when he was attacked, shot, and then stabbed in the chest, apparently to make sure that he didn’t survive the attack.

Passersby tried to help him after the gunmen left but his wounds were too extensive. Reports also stated that there was a second person in the vehicle before the unknown gunmen attacked but so far, nobody knows the whereabouts of the passenger.

Reacting to the incident, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso said that investigations have already been started to solve the case. He also appealed to anyone with any knowledge of the victims and the perpetrators to step forward and help bring them to justice.
