Commuter Car Chased By Highway Police Kill One in Ogbomoso

At least one person has reportedly died in an auto crash involving a commuter car that lost control while running from highway policemen.

OyoAffairs gathered from an eyewitness that the incident took place in Oju-Oja, Iresaapa in Surulere local government area of Oyo State.

An eyewitness account: “A middle-aged woman died in an auto crash while the commuter car lost control.

“The driver refused to cooperate with the operatives when they ordered for a stop and search along Ogbomoso-Iresaapa road and instead, sped off.

“Officers of the Highway Police Patrol in Ogbomoso chased this commuter car and in the process, the car lost control and ran into this woman who was working for her daily bread and she lost her life at the spot,” the eyewitness narrated.

As at the time of filling this report, the Oyo State Police command’s spokesman, DSP Adewale Osifeso, is yet to react to the incident.
