A couple narrowly escaped d3ath in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, after a container fell on their car. The incident occurred on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in the Ogbomoso High School area.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple had just parked their car and gotten out to buy some items when the incident happened.

“It was a narrow escape,” an eyewitness told Ogbomoso Insight. “The couple had just packed their car and gotten down to buy some items at the side of the metal scrap yard when the trailer’s large container fell on the car. Thank God no one else was in the car.”

The trailer, with registration number Nasarawa JZ 101 ZA, was trying to avoid a head-on collision with a bus traveling in the opposite direction.

The bus driver was reportedly distracted by his mobile phone and lost concentration. As the trailer driver tried to avoid hitting the bus, he swerved into a ditch and lost control, causing the container to fall on the parked car.
