Court Arraigns Oyo Monarch, 10 High Chiefs for Terrorism Charges in Abuja

The Federal High Court, Abuja will today arraign a traditional ruler in Oyo, Oba Solomon Akinola, along side 10 of his high chiefs on 12 counts of charges bothering on terrorism.

The Inspector General of Police had filed the terrorism charges against them and they will be arraigned before Justice Egwuatu Obiora in Abuja this morning.

The traditional ruler’s high chiefs who are to face terrorism trial, include; Samson Ogunmola, Sunday Aderinto, Jimoh Asimiyu, Timothy Adewale Aderinto, Segun Gbadebo, Oluwole Ogundeji, Akintaro Mathew Piamo, Rafiu Ganiyu, Adejare Adeleru and Zacheus Adeleru.

Meanwhile, report obtained from Daily Post revealed that the criminal charges cited, indicated that the defendants allegedly invaded Aagba Community in Oyo state and kidnapped three people, in addition to inflicting various degrees of injuries on their victims.
