The Oyo State team has won its first gold medal at the ongoing 21st National Sports Festival in Asaba.
The team won the medal after Haruna Usman was adjudged the best performer in the Poomsae demonstration for Taekwondo.
The trio of Tunde Adisa, Abiola Adesope, and Mide Jaiyeola combined brilliantly to deliver Oyo State’s second gold medal in the men’s team para table tennis event.
In total, the Oyo State team has won 2 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals.
