Don’t Take My Mother’s Comments Personally – Popular Meme Character, Mummy GO’s Son Warns

Samuel, the son of Funmilayo Adebayo, an evangelist nicknamed Mummy G. O. and now trending on social media for hellfire memes, has cautioned Nigerians against believing the memes from his mother’s preachings, adding that some were fabricated.

Samuel, in a chat with The PUNCH on Friday, said though his 54-year-old mother made some comments about some actions that might attract hellfire as destination in the afterlife, she never coerced people to believe her.

The son of the preacher who is in his early 30s also urged social media users not to take his mother’s comments personally, but to feel free to ignore or accept any of her sermons that align with their belief system.

Samuel said, “Social media has always been a platform where anything can be posted at any point in time but everything that has been posted about her saying she said this and that are all lies, nothing is true about the memes, they are just fabricating the memes, everybody with their contents, writing all sorts of things and tagging her pictures. We are used to it; the best thing is to ignore them.

“Even though she said everything about hell, there is nowhere she said by fire, by force, people must agree and accept what she is saying. I don’t think she has ever made that kind of statement before.

“Everybody is entitled to believe what they want to believe. I don’t know why people are taking it personal. There is the freedom to believe whatever one wants to believe and neglect whatever one wants to neglect but there is always the freedom of expression. Even Christ didn’t say that people must accept Him by fire by force as the son of God.”

Meanwhile, the founder of Rapture Proclaimer Evangelical Church of God earned the nickname Mummy G. O. after some video clips of her hell-threatening sermons went viral.

The Nigerian clergy first caught the attention of social media users in 2021 with her rendition of the song ‘Kpatakpata.’

Video clips of her controversial messages have also become commonplace on many WhatsApp and Facebook updates so much so that many users likened her to Odumeje, the controversial Anambra-based preacher who went viral in 2020.

Adebayo’s face keeps trending on whatsAppp and other social media platform basically because of her exclusive revelation of how she was originally created as a man in Egypt, but died in a war. She said in the afterlife, she was trained and was sent for ‘I.T’ (Industrial training) before she was sent to Nigeria and was reborn as a woman.

Speaking further on her earlier life, she said in another viral message,

“I wasn’t a fool before I met Christ. I was a cocaine pusher. I sold guns and rented ammunition to robbers. I was a hired killer. I had boys at my disposal. Whenever I want to give information to politicians, they pay me millions.

“Obasanjo knows me very well. We are close pals. Even Babangida knows me. The police had no guts to arrest me. Sijuade, the Ooni of Ife, it was when I met him that his business started booming.

“The kind of cocaine I smuggled, I used flying carpet, straight to Germany and America. I don’t use airplanes. The reason why I have this knowledge is due to my long journey in the kingdom of darkness.”

“The first attachment on earth, I produced it. The name is Amigo. And we’re the ones that have the company that produced it”, she disclosed.

Back in 2019, Mummy G. O. said people who take Vitamin C and eat Titus fish will not make heaven. She also alleged that popular Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, is not a human being and that American female musicians, Rihanna and Beyonce, are married to the devil.

The ‘Woman of God’ said that lecturers who fix lectures between 7am-8am will go to hell because it is the appointed time of the antichrist. She also said that all footballers would go to hell and men on skin cut are already on their way to hell.

In addition, she claimed that people who use ATM and MasterCard have successfully bought a free ticket to hell.

On dancing, she said, “Where did break dancing generate from? Michael Jackson. He got power from the dead land. What is the land of the dead? Skeleton. Skeleton is not for the living. If you break dance, you’re telling God you’re dead”.

In one of her several memes, Mummy G. O. said boys who give girls money in 2022 will be “giving away their glory”.
