The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde for the careful selection of the transition/inauguration committee.
The ruling PDP explained that Governor Makinde’s selection of members of the transition committee reflects a true manifestation of the prospect of Omituntun 2.0.
The State Publicity Secretary, Akeem Olatunji, who gave the commendation on behalf of the party in a press statement, disclosed that Omituntun 2.0 which is about consolidating on the success of Omituntun 1.0 is already in full swing with the calibre of highly cerebral politicians and vibrant young leaders and technocrats on the list.
Recall that Oyoaffairs.net had earlier reported that the Oyo State Executive Council headed by the governor met on Friday and approved a 15-man transition/inauguration committee to oversee the smooth transition of the present government to the next on 29th of May, 2023.
The list of the transition/inauguration committee members include:
Hon Segun Ogunwuyi (Chairman) and Ms Ololade Ajibola (Secretary).
Others members include: Hon Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, Mrs Toyin Balogun, Adeniyi Farinto, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, Hon Nureni Alabi, Chief Ademola Ojo, Dayo Ogungbenro, Wasiu Adeleke, Compol (retd) Fatai Owoseni, Siju Lawal, Mr Akinola Ojo, Simeon Oyeleke and Prof Abdulwaheed Soliu.
In the meantime, the statement read in part, “Without a doubt, the assemblage of this cerebral team of transition/inauguration committee has further demonstrated that the ‘Seyi Makinde’s government is gifted with bundles of talents and capable hands.
“This is a clear testament to the fact that accelerated development under Omituntun 1.0 was good but sustainable development under Omituntun 2.0 will be better.
“Makinde as a leader in his own class has continued to raise the bar of good governance that his counterparts from both neighbouring states and other parts of the country strive to emulate, and it is on this note we feel greatly lucky to be so blessed with such a visionary leader per excellent,” the statement added.
