Elebu Fire Outbreak: Residents hail Oyo fire Service for Swift intervention

Following the fire outbreak at a petrol station belonging to Al Amin Multi Venture International Limited, along Elebu road in Ibadan, on Monday, residents have praised the swift intervention of the men of Oyo State Fire service in putting out the fire, without any loss of life.

This happened barely a week after a tanker fire incident claimed lives and properties at Moniya, a suburb of Ibadan.

The inferno, according to eye witnesses, it was learnt that the fire outbreak was caused by a fuel tanker discharging petroleum at the filling station and during the offloading process, the dispensing nozzle fell from the hand of one of the Filling station’s attendant and ignited the fire.
