Former Governor of Oyo State, Alao-Akala to Be Buried Feb 18th

The family of the late former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala has announced that his burial ceremony will hold from Tuesday 15th to Friday 18th February 2022 and his remains will be committed to mother earth on the last day.

A family source who spoke with newsmen said the family expressed appreciation for the outpouring of love and emotions that have greeted the death of their late patriarch.

Recall that the APC Chieftain died in the early hours of Wednesday 12th January 2022 at his Ogbomoso residence.

Since his demise, politicians of all sorts, government officials, royal fathers, service chiefs, business moguls, unionists, student leaders, religious and community leaders of note as well as representatives of various political parties have been thronging his house at Ogbomoso to pay condolence visit even as they poured encomiums and kind remarks on the life and times of the deceased former police officer.

In the meantime, a candle night procession will be held in honour of the late former governor tomorrow, Wednesday 19th January 2022 in Ogbomoso, his hometown.

The take-off time is fixed for 4.30 pm at Opadoyin Lodge, Randa, Ogbomoso.
