FRSC Decries Increase in Road Accidents in Oyo

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has expressed lamentation over the increase in volume of road accidents in Oyo State.

The road safety corps blamed the accidents on failure of drivers to follow traffic laws, adding that there should be an attitudinal change and total compliance with rules guiding road usage.

Oyo Affairs had reported that an accident that claimed six with many injured at Oke-Elesin, Amuloko in Ona-ara local government area.

Oyo FRSC Sector Commander, Corps Commander Rosemary Alo speaking to newsmen following the sad development condoled with families of the deceased, wishing injured ones speedy recovery.

According to the Oyo FRSC boss, road crashes are caused by humans, urging drivers to embrace safety on highways particularly during these Ember period.

She noted that one of the focus of FRSC was to reduce road accidents on roads across the nation particularly in the state.

She however said her men has mapped out strategies for rescue operations to rescue accident victims in the state particularly during this Ember months.
