Pa Busari Adebisi, a former Secretary to the Oyo state government and erstwhile prominent Oyo politician has been pronounced dead yesterday, 26th August 2021.
Oyo State Governor; Engr ‘Seyi Makinde on Thursday while commiserating with the family of the deceased described the death of Chief Busari Adebisi, as a huge loss to the state at this critical time and prayed to Allah to grant him Al Jannah Firdaus.
According to a statement released by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the governor described Adebisi, a key member of the Coalition of Political Parties that worked together to win the 2019 election, as a true democrat and statesman.
He went on to say that his passing has created yet another void in the state and country, because, in his opinion, the country now needs elder statesmen with a wealth of expertise in various fields more than ever before.
The governor said: “I received the news of the passing unto glory of Chief Busari Adebisi, a former Secretary to the State Government in the state, who later served as Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board.
“Pa. Busari Adebisi ticks all the boxes of statesmanship; he is one of those elders with an immense wealth of experience and patriotism needed to reposition our state and country.
“Certainly, his death has left a huge gap in the state and the country.
“I commiserate with all members of the Adebisi family, Chief Adebisi’s friends and political associates and pray that God gives them all the fortitude to bear the loss.”
