The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has authorized the re-modelling of Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan to international standard.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, while disclosing this, stated that there was a need for the regrading of several sports facilities in the state.
Fakorede said that the modern re-modelling was to make the sports complex to be at par with other sports complexes internationally.
He explained that the project will be initiated in Adamasingba, emphasizing that the renovation was necessary for the survival and advancement of sports and engagement of youths in the state.
According to him, “this again is the first of its kind in Oyo State and I’m sure we are all going to enjoy the developments this laudable project will avail the state by the grace of God.”
