The death of the CEO of Dudu Heritage, Ola Ibironke has attracted the attention and concerns of many people in Oyo State, one of which, is that of the executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Describing the demise of the Captain of Ibadan Golf Club as a sad loss to the state, Governor Makinde poured encomium on the deceased as he said that his loss is not Just painful but personal to him as the late Ibironke was his friend.
This was contained in a statement released by the Special Assistant to the governor on Print Media which quoted the Chief Security Officer of the State consoled the family of Ibironke as well as members of the Ibadan Golf Club whom he left behind while still in active service.
Governor Makinde did not economise words as he lavished praises on Dudu Heritage as he was fondly called, saying that he contributed alot to the development of both entertainment as a movie promoter and sports as a Golfer in Oyo State.
In his words ” My friend and brother, your death is a great and personal loss to me and the people of Oyo state”
” Your commitment to the growth and development of Sports, entertainment and business in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole is immeasurable, so also was your patriotism and interest in the development of Oyo State ” he added.
Governor Makinde went on to express shock on the sudden death of this illustrious son of Oyo State as he described his demise as unexpected and unbelievable as his lifetime was not long but impactful.
“Captain, who would have thought that you would exchange mortality for immortality so soon? But we submit to the will of the Almighty and pray that he grants your soul rest and help your family and members of the Ibadan Golf Club in your absence” the Governor said.
He also prayed for the family of the Late Ola Ibironke and also asked God to grant the soul of his friend and brother rest while giving the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
It will be recalled that the Late Ola Ibironke aka Dudu Heritage, was hale and hearty until Sunday evening when he slumped at the Ibadan Golf Club and died at the hospital where he was rushed to for resuscitation.
He leave behind a wife, popular actress, Mercy Aigbe, a son and a daughter as well as other loved ones and friends from the Inseam Golf Club and the movie industry as whole.
