Governor Makinde Says 4 Workers of TESCOM will be Dismissed Over Fraud

The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has vowed to look into the alleged fraud in the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), especially during the just concluded Teacher’s recruitment exercise in the state.

The Governor made the pledge on Friday while playing host to the body of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, led by its chairman, Prince Samson Adedoyin.

Governor Makinde who stressed he will not compromise its stance on free qualitative and basic education in the state noted that four workers of Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), will be dismissed over gross misconduct.

In his address, the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Oyo state chapter, Prince Samson Adedoyin, used the occasion to appeal to the governor to as a matter of urgency release the school running grant for the 2nd term.

Meanwhile, Governor Makinde also received members of the University Press and promised that the present administration would collaborate with relevant agencies to improve better education delivery for all with the view to curbing capital illiteracy in Oyo state.
