The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has said before this year come to an end, he will launch a twin security outfit in the state; namely, Oyo DACER and Irunmole.
The governor disclosed this when he played host to the State Community Development Council (SCDC) and Vigilante Groups at his office in Agodi, Secretariat, Ibadan.
Governor Makinde explained that the two local security outfits, tagged – Oyo State Development Association For Social Economic Renaissance (Oyo DASER) and The Irunmole Team would compliment the South-west security outfit, Amotekun, in reducing crime and criminality to the bearest minimum in the state.
In his speech, the chairman, State Community Development Council (SCDC), Alhaji Hameed Shittu who led the SCDC team and the Vigilante groups to the office of the governor, pledged the support and loyalty of the quasi civilian teams to governor Seyi Makinde and affirmed combat ready.
