Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has today, flagged-off the Oyo State Youth in Agribusiness project in Awe Afijo Local Government Area.
He made the flag-off at the proposed farm estate in Awe Afijo in the presence of traditional and community leaders.
In his address, the Governor stated that the Agribusiness in Oyo state will have comparative advantages which will expand the economy, reduce rural to urban migration, and in turn provide employment to the teaming youths.
Makinde assured the Awe Afijo community of immediate provision of water, electricity, and security and declared that his administration would provide financial support to the youth in Agribusiness through the Oyo state Agricredit Corporation and the Medium to Small Scale Enterprise Facility.
He also disclosed that several other farm settlements in Oyo State would be rehabilitated using Awe Afijo as a model.
