Governor Seyi Makinde Sets To Reconstruct Jakata, Bembo-Apata road

The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has promised to ensure the speedy completion of the road from New-garage to Kuola through Jakata, Bembo-Apata road which connects Ibadan-Abeokuta expressway.

Governor Makinde gave the assurance on Monday during an assessment tour of the road in company of the state commissioner for works and transport, Professor Raphael Afonja, some contractors and other government officials.

At the end of the assessment visit, Governor Makinde said the contractor handling the construction project will be call back to site.

Makinde also assured that those whose properties would have to give way to complete the project would be duly compensated and whatever legal hitches as a result, would be adequately settled as a win – win for all parties in the spirit of development.

The Governor noted that the project had dragged long for a while, adding that with three more kilometers, the project would be completed and it would ease traffic around Ringroad, Apata axis as those travelling from toll gate to Abeokuta could navigate through New garage and Kuola to avoid unnecessary traffic bottleneck.
