Independent and Controversial Nigerian Journalist, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo has jokingly expressed her wish of becoming an Olori while congratulating the new Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Mohood Balogun on his official installation last Friday.
In a post on her verified Facebook page, Olunlo̩yo̩ said she could have been one of the Oloris of Oba Balogun as she claimed that he would marry her before the end of a newspaper launching event in Lagos, 16years ago.
She stated that she met O̩ba Lekan Balogun in a ‘VIP-filled event’ in 2006 after which he later approached her and asked her if she came with her husband.
‘I told him I didn’t have one and he said he would marry me before the event was over. I laughed it off. Imagine now, I could have been a real queen living in the Olubadan’s palace.’
She concluded the story by advising her followers not to look down on people for what they are today.
Olunloyo insisted that even though she didn’t become Oba Balogun’s Queen, she remained the queen of social media, adding that she would attend Oba Balogun’s 80th Birthday.
Recall Oba Balogun was officially installed on Friday at the Mapo Hall in Ibadan, O̩yo̩ state capital, as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan.
Born in Ibadan, 57-year-old Kemi Olunloyo is the second child of former Oyo state governor, Dr Victor Omololu-Olunloyo and has never been married.
