The three senatorial candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from Oyo in the 2023 senatorial election on Sunday hold closed door strategic meeting in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

The meeting which was held at Bodija was attended by Chief Bisi Ilaka of Oyo Central Senatorial District, Mogaji Joseph Tegbe of Oyo South and Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole better known as Wolekanle.

Although the specific details of the meeting were not disclosed, but it was gathered that the trio used the opportunity to allay the fears of their supporters and urge them to remain calm, and be more committed to the party.

It was exclusively gathered that some of their supporters are angry because they were not considered for any elective post during the local government election and appointments either at the state or local government level.
