JUST IN: Makinde Approves Upgrade of Emmanuel Alayande College Of Education To University




Seyi Makinde led government of Oyo state has approved the Conversion upgrade of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo in order to issue exclusive degree certificates.

Disclosing this rather soothing information to newsman at the governor’s office today at the Governor’s office in Ibadan, the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology; Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye hinted that the age long College is now ripe to offer degree courses.

The commissioner explained that Emmanuel Alayande College of Education has operated some affiliate degree programs with other Nigerian University over the years and has shown the capacity to be transformed into Emmanuel Alayande University of Technology to provide mainly degree programs in education.


Olaleye upheld that the purpose of the upgrading is essentially provide improved standard of education in the state such that graduates from the institution will be able to deploy their expertise into improving the Educational status of the State.

He noted that other federal colleges of education in the state such as Federal College of Education in both Oyo and Lanlate will continue to provide their services for the teeming undergraduates of colleges of education after which they can proceed to obtaining their degrees at the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education.


Barr. Olaleye reiterated the commitment of the Seyi Makinde led admin to remove the state from the deep gorge of poor Education to a pedestal of hope indicating that this new step is another Testament of the admin quest to supplying qualitative education.
