LG Elections: Ibadan S-E PDP Inaugurates Campaign Committees

Ahead of the Local Government elections holding on the 15th of May 2021, the Peoples DP Ibadan South-East Local Government chapter has inaugurated various campaign committees to ensure that their candidates for the Chairman and councillorship positions have the best chance of success at the polls.

The inauguration and flag presentation to the PDP candidates for the election, Hon. Emmanuel Alawode and all the 12 councilors was done at Mapo hall, Ibadan in the presence of Hon. Dare Adeleke, Chairman Pace Setter Transport Services Limited, Professor Daud Sangodoyin, Commissioner for Works and Public Transport, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige, Special Adviser to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Mogaji Abass Oloko, Vice Chairman, Oyo State Tourism Board, Hon. Ademola AbdulRazak, Hon. Segun Popoola, Hon. Fatai Adeshina, Hon. Deji Aboderin, Hon. Dele Ojo and Abass Balogun (Oppressor).

Others include PDP Chairman, Engr Sulaiman Adeshina, Alhaji Tiamiyu Abidikugu, Alhaji Dauda Yusuf, Alhaji Kamoru Surveyor, Alhaji Hazzan, Hon. Kunmi Adeshina, Mr. Bimbo Adepoju, Mr Sunday Babatunde and others.

In his inauguration ceremony speech , the Chairman of Pace Setter Transport Service, Hon. Dare Adeleke said that the caliber of members invited to form the committees showed how well-prepared the party was for the elections.

He also said that the PDP is ready to build on ‘Seyi Makinde’s success to try and win the elections and urged the committee members to harness the aspirations of their council members and ensure that their will prevails

Speaking with the press after the inauguration, the Publicity Committee Chairman, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige shared that with the quality of committee members and the candidates they intended to put forward, the PDP is certain they’ll win.

Hon. Ige further said that Governor ‘Seyi Makinde has already done a lot and delivered on many of his campaign promises and the people would definitely repay his good governance by overwhelmingly voting in his party at the polls.

The PDP Chairman, Engr Sulaiman Adeshina, also spoke and commended the Governor for his statesmanship and political know-how that led to the Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja’s victory as Chairman at the just-concluded congress held in Osogbo.
Other committee Chairmen inaugurated include; Professor Daud Sangodoyin Chairman Finance/Fund raising committee; Hon. Fatai Adeshina, Chairman Security Committee; Hon. Yinka Omikunle, Chairman Mobilization Committee and Hon. Kamorudeen Fabunmi as the Chairman of the campaign committee.
