The Nigeria Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has described Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State as a sincere and consistent gem when it comes to his decision and leadership.

Adelabu while speaking on a radio program anchored by Mayor Isaac Brown on Fresh FM on Saturday, noted that Governor Makinde is firm and unwavering on his stand on local government autonomy.

The Minister added that Governor Makinde’s position on local government autonomy has been consistent, dating back to his campaign debates at Mouve 21 and the University of Ibadan ahead of the 2023 elections.

Despite knowing his stance, the people of Oyo State still re-elected him for a second term, demonstrating their trust in his leadership, he added.

Chief Adelabu further criticized those opposing Governor Makinde’s stand on local government autonomy, suggesting that they are insincere for doing so despite being aware of his position before the election.
