Makinde Appoints Aderemi Okediji As Chairman, Oyo State Audit Commission

Mr. David Aderemi Okediji has been named as the Chairman designate of the newly constituted Oyo State Audit Service Commission by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

The speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin while reading a letter from Governor Seyi Makinde during the house plenary
confirmed the appointment of Mr. Aderemi.

In the letter, Governor Makinde urged that the House approve Mr. Okediji’s appointment as Chairman of the Audit Service Commission.

Following the recent approval of the Audit Commission Bill, 2021 by the Oyo State House of Assembly, the nomination became necessary.

The Governor noted that the nominee was being considered based on his excellent track record.

Recall that the Oyo State Audit Service Commission was formed as part of Seyi Makinde’s efforts to improve transparency in government spending and expenditures.
