Engr Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State governor has requested that the Oyo State House of Assembly consider and approve a N50 billion supplemental budget.
The Governor made the request in a letter to the House of Assembly on Tuesday, which was read in plenary by Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly; Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin.
The N50 billion Supplementary Budget, according to Makinde, will cover three massive projects that were not included in the approved 2021 budget.
According to the letter, the Ibadan Circular Road (#25,000,000,000,00), Iseyin-Ogbomoso Road (#15,000,000,000,00), and Ibadan Airport Improvement (#10,000,000,000,00) are the three projects to enjoy the supplementary budget.
“The N50 billion will be provided by the Central Bank of Nigeria under the Differentiated Cash Reserves Requirements, DCRR, of which the House of Assembly authorized N10 billion,” Makinde said.
With this supplementary budget, the budget for 2021 will rise from N268,770,964,860,00 to N318,770,964,860,00.
