Oyo State Governor, Engr ‘Seyi Makinde, has named Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi as his Chief of Staff following the dissolution of his cabinet about a week ago.
Hon Ogunwuyi’s appointment was communicated in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun.
According to the letter, the appointment takes immediate effect.
According to a statement from the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, Ogunwuyi was named Executive Assistant to the Governor on Investment in 2019.
Following the adoption of the bill establishing the agency, he was named Director-General of the Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPPPA).
As the Director-General of OYSIPPA, Ogunwuyi oversaw several investment programs, including the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA), which has aided the state in completing vital infrastructure projects.
Ogunwuyi, a former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, was elected to the House of Representatives in 2015 to represent the Ogbomoso North/South and Oriire Federal Constituency.
He graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Ogunwuyi, a professional accountant and financial consultant, has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious companies.
