Governor Seyi Makinde on Saturday visited Pa. Reuben Fasoranti, the Afenifere leader at his Ondo residence following the death of his daughter. Mrs. Funke Olakunrin.
Mrs Olakunrin was killed by armed gang suspected to be herdsmen on Friday.
In his tweet, Makinde prayed that the soul of Mrs Olakunrin rest in peace while condoling with the families.
“Our condolence visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti, like several others paid to families who have lost loved ones to the dastardly acts of criminals, shouldn’t have happened.
“May Mrs Funke Olakunrin’s soul rest in peace. Our heartfelt prayers are with the Fasoranti & Olakunrin families,” he tweeted.
Earlier, Governor Seyi Makinde has asked the Federal government to fish out perpetrators.
