My Return to APC has nothing to do with 2027 Guber Ambition but to help Tinubu Succeed – Adelabu

Adebayo Adelabu, minister of power, has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, stating that his decision is to help President Bola Tinubu’s administration succeed.

In May 2022, Adelabu resigned from the APC and defected to the Accord Party (AP) after he failed to secure the party’s ticket for the Oyo state governorship election.

Adelabu emphasized that his return to the APC is not driven by his governorship ambition for 2027, but rather to support Tinubu and the party’s electoral promises.

“I returned not because of 2027 governorship ambition or to take over the party, but because I believe this is a party that brought President Bola Tinubu to power, and we need to support him to deliver on his electoral promises,” Adelabu said.

He also expressed that his return, along with other members who left the APC with him, is aimed at strengthening the party and working towards cooperation and collaboration for a strong party in the future.
