Oke-Ogun Group Hails Makinde’s Aide, Agbarapo, on Birthday; Cites Impact in Atisbo LG

A sociopolitical group based in Oke Ogun, Atisbo4Makinde Presidency, has showered praises on a former Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly and current Special Adviser on Legislative Matters to Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Adejumobi Samuel, popularly known as Agbarapo, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.

In a felicitation statement on Thursday, the coordinator of the group, Abdraheem Adekunle, described Adejumobi as a steady bridge between governance and grassroots development, whose influence has translated into visible economic opportunities for people of Atisbo Local Government Area and the wider Oke Ogun geopolitical zone.

Adekunle also described the governor’s aide as an industrious son of Oke-ogun who’s years in the political landscape of Oyo state has attracted visible transportation to the socioeconomic fabric of Atisbo local government.

The group which revealed its mandate primarily as working for the actualization of Makinde’s 2027 presidential ambition, said Agbarapo’s footprint in the local economy goes beyond politics, pointing to his chain of businesses across oil and gas and hospitality as critical drivers of employment in the area.

According to the group, these enterprises have provided direct and indirect jobs for youths including skilled and unskilled workers, thereby, helping to reduce unemployment and strengthen local livelihoods.

“At a time when many leaders speak only in promises, Hon. Adejumobi has consistently matched words with action,” the statement read.

“Through his investments and interventions, families in Atisbo and across other parts of Oke-Ogun have found dignity in work and hope in opportunity.”

Beyond private sector initiatives, Atisbo4Makinde Presidency also highlighted Adejumobi’s role in facilitating employment opportunities for qualified indigenes of Atisbo into the Oyo State civil service.

The group noted that his understanding of legislative processes and access to governance have been deployed to ensure fair representation for the area in state employment making him the bridge between the state’s executive and legislature.

They described Agbarapo’s intervention as critical for a region that has historically felt distant from the centre of power, adding that such efforts have helped restore confidence in public institutions among young people in Oke Ogun.

The group further praised Adejumobi’s tenure in the House of Assembly, where they said he demonstrated political maturity, loyalty to party ideals, and a consistent focus on constituency interests, qualities they believe continue to shape his current advisory role to the governor.
