Ọ̀kẹ̀rẹ̀ of Saki to Honour Makinde With Aare Atunayese Title

Oba (Surveyor) Khalid Olabisi, the Okere of Saki land has revealed plans to confer on Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, the title of Aare Atunayese of Saki land.

According to the Facebook post of an online Saki platform, the Paramount ruler of Saki land disclosed the proposal at the commissioning of the 9.7km Saki township road yesterday.

Recall that the Iseyin community would also be conferring Aare Atunluto and Yeye Aare Atunluto Title on Makinde and his Wife
also at the grand finale of BERE festival on 16th March, 2022, in appreciating Makinde’s administration for ensuring fairness in governance.

Governor Makinde, was on Thursday, joined by his Adamawa state counterpart, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to commission the dualised 9.7kilometres Oke-Ogun Poly-Saki road.

Speaking at the ceremony, Makinde pointed out that before his administration came on board, the journey from Saki to Ibadan used to take over five hours but now that the road has been fixed, road users spend less than three hours from Saki to Ibadan.

Governor Makinde also expressed confidence that Saki Township road project will enhance socio-economic development of the state.

Others who graced the road commissioning include; Chief justice of Oyo state, Hon. Justice Munta Ladipo Abimbola, Other Obas in Oke-Ogun, Chiefs, Baales, Political office holders and other notable dignitaries.
