Oyo Assembly deliberates on Changing Ibarapa Polytechnic to Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus-Eruwa

The Oyo state house of assembly has observed the second reading of a bill to change the name of the Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa, back to Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus.

The bill titled “A Bill for a law to Amend The Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa Law, 2013 was agreed to, by all the lawmakers in the 9th assembly during the plenary session.

During deliberations on the bill, the House Majority leader, Honorable Sanjo Adedoyin; the Minority leader, Honorable Asimiyu Alarape and the sponsor of the bill, honorable Akeem Adedibu, noted that the motive behind the change of the institution’s name to Ibarapa Polytechnic could not be deduced but the Oyo state House of Assembly is set to change the school name back to Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus, Eruwa.

Asserting that he is not supporting the bill in it’s entirety, Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, who is also the son of the late business magnate, Adeseun Ogundoyin, emphasized that due process should be followed.
