Oyo Gets New NSCDC Commandant as Adaralewa Takes Over from Iskilu

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State Command, on Tuesday, June 15 2021 unveil a new commandant at the Command Headquarters, Old Nitel Building Agodi, Ibadan.



Adaralewa succeeds the former Oyo NSCDC boss; Iskilu Abiodun Akinsanya who has now been deployed to continue his service at the Delta Command of the NSCDC after an active and memorable one year and ten months in Oyo State.


In his farewell speech, Commandant Akinsanya extended his gratitude to the government and good people of Oyo State for their support and urged them to extend the same hand of friendship to his successor.



Commandant Adaralewa Michael Akintayo told officers and men at Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in his first briefing that his deployment to Oyo State Command is necessary to reinforce the good work done so far by the former commandant who had been redeployed to Delta State.



Meanwhile, after he inspected the quarter guards, met with all heads of Department and Units where he enjoined them to be disciplined and dedicated to duty especially in their commitment towards riding the state of all forms of criminality to engender peace and tranquility.


While issuing a warning to criminal elements in the state to leave, Commandant Adaralewa solicited the cooperation of all stakeholders in the state to succeed like Commandant Akinsanya.



Before his redeployment to Oyo Command, Commandant Adaralewa Michael was the Commandant Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Department at National Headquarters.


He is a CBRNE Emergency Response, Detection, and Response trainer who provides front-line personnel with training and motivation.
Commandant Adaralewa Michael, an FBI-trained Post-Blast investigator, is from the state of Ekiti.
