Oyo Government Distributes New Uniforms, Kits to OYRTMA Officers to Kick-start 2021 Operations

In line with the commitment of the Oyo State Government to the effective operations of the traffic management agency, the State Government has distributed brand new sets of uniform and operational kits to officers and men of the Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA).

The Executive Chairman, Mogaji (Dr.) Akin Fagbemi while speaking during the presentation and distribution of the uniforms to all Officers and men at the Administrative Headquarters of the Authority said, “this is in furtherance of the Governor Seyi Makinde administration’s commitment to supporting the Authority in all ways possible in order to reposition it for a better service delivery to the good people of Oyo State in 2021 and beyond.

Fagbemi also said that, “it is note worthy that the last time uniforms and kits were provided for this Officers was nearly a decade ago as most officers and men of the Authority had hitherto been purchasing the official regalia with their personal funds which of course does not depict a good appreciation of the humanitarian service of traffic management been rendered.”

Speaking further, the OYRTMA Boss said “the era of being poorly clad while on active duty is over. Any officer caught not properly and neatly dressed would henceforth be subjected to disciplinary panels with grievous sanctions. We therefore thank His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde for deeming it fit to approve the procurement of such important operational tool which include reflective jackets, crested vests, caps and other components of the official regalia. He has once again boosted the morale of the officers and men of the Authority and I can assure you as we look inward 2021, our operational policies and strategies would be further enhanced to meet the current challenges of traffic being experienced across the State particularly in Ibadan Metropolis.”
