Oyo Government Payrolls 500 Retirees for February, 2020

The Oyo state government has payrolled about 500 retired primary school teachers and local government pensioners for the month of February, 2020.

Oyo Affairs correspondent, reports that the pensioners payrolled for the Month of February gathered on Monday at the conference room of the Local Government Service Commission, Secretariat, Ibadan, for screening and to process their pension certificate.

While addressing newsmen during the screening exercise, the Chairman, Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Honourable Aderemi Ayodele, said the Seyi Makinde led Administration is committed to the well-being of both serving and retired civil servants and would continue to pay the gratuities to the pensioners based on merit without any influence or favour.

He added that government is making concerted efforts to ease the pains of the pensioners in the state, stressing that the disbursement will be made before the end of February, 2020.

Hon. Ayodele, hinted that the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has approved the construction of new edifice for the state Local Government Service Commission, so as to serve local government workers better.

The pensioners from primary schools and local government areas, who retired in 2019 and captured as beneficiaries in 2020, commended the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for prompt payment of salaries and pension of workers in the state.
