Oyo Government Sacks Suspended Management of Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Proscribes Butchers’ Unions

The Oyo state government has sacked the suspended management of the Oke-Ogun polytechnic, Saki due to irregularities in their appointments.

This was disclosed on Tuesday by the state Commissioner for Education, Bar. Olasunkanmi Olaleye, while briefing the state house correspondents shortly after the state Exco meeting.

He added that the school’s account would be audited and anyone found wanting would be made to refund.

Also speaking, the state Commissioner for Justice, Professor Oyelowo Oyewo, revealed that the state government has proscribed all the activities of all the butchers’ unions in the state including those at the Amosun Central Abattoir.

Professor Oyelowo explained that the action became neccessary following the lingering crisis among Butchers’ Unions in the state.

In his speech, the state Commissioner for health, Dr. Bashir Bello, stated that no reported cases of Lassa Fever or Coronavirus have been recorded in the state due to the proactiveness of the state government at preventing the diseases.
