Oyo Govt in Close Door Meeting With Community Leaders over Ibadan Circular Road Saga

Some officials of the Oyo state government and leaders of residents affected by the Ibadan Circular Road project are currently in a closed-door meeting.

The meeting, which reportedly began around 1:30 PM, is being held in the Conference Room of the Ministry of Lands at the Oyo State Government Secretariat.

The government delegation includes Commissioners Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin (Works and Transport), Mr. Akin-Funmilayo (Lands), Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security, CP Sunday Odukoya (rtd), and other security officers.

Community leaders from the affected areas, including Egbeda, Ona-ara, Oluyole, Lagelu, and Akinyele, are also in attendance.

Meanwhile, residents continue to protest outside the Secretariat’s entrance as the meeting progresses.

At the time of filing this report, discussions with the stakeholders are still ongoing.
