Oyo Govt Re-awards Saki Township Road for N4.7Billion, Purchase of Fire Truck

The Oyo state executive council, chaired by governor Seyi Makinde, this Tuesday, re-awarded Saki township road for the sum of N4.7 Billion.

The state commissioner for Education, barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, disclosed this to the state house correspondents shortly after the 24th executive council meeting.

He added that the project will be completed within 12 months.

Also speaking, the state commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Barrister Seun Ashamu, stated that the executive council has also awarded the Gedu/Oroki/Sabo/Asipa road in Oyo town for a total sum of N2.9 billion.

In his speech, the state commissioner for justice, professor Oyelowo Oyewo, explained that the Oyo state government has approved the purchase of N84 million fire truck for the Ibadan Airport to improve its facilities for the prevention of fire accidents.

He, however, hinted that in weeks to come, the state government will revised the state Energy and Mineral Resources law of 2019 and modify its functions.
