The Oyo State Government, through the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, has announced that it has rescheduled the remaining 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Recall that Oyo Affairs had reported that the examination previously scheduled for Thursday, 1 August 2024 was postponed following the development of the #EndBadGovernance hunger protest.

But the ministry in a new development dated 14th of August and made available to OyoAffairs and other newsmen has rescheduled the exam across the state for Wednesday, 21st of August, 2024.

The release noted that for Senior Secondary School (SSS1 and SSS2) Students, Trade subjects, remaining school based subjects and Arabic language will be held while the JSS students will sit for Business Studies , Arabic, Igbo and Hausa language.
