Oyo IGR increases to N52 billion, Records 37% Year-on-Year IGR Growth under Makinde

The latest figures have revealed that Oyo State recorded a 37.11 per cent growth in Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, for the year 2021.

According to the report released yesterday by yourbudgitcom, Oyo state recorded ₦52.16 billion IGR, an increase of ₦14.12 billion over what was recorded in 2020.

Further analysis of the data showed that Oyo State recorded a 95 per cent increase in IGR since 2019. In 2019, the state recorded ₦26.75 billion IGR and recorded ₦38.04 in 2020. In 2021, the state ₦52.16 billion resulting in a 95 per cent increase since 2019.

The data also showed that the overall fiscal performance rank of Oyo state in 2021 was 11th out of the 36 states in the federation.
