The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state has announced resumption of it’s governorship political campaign activities on Monday 13 February, 2023.
This follows the initial suspension on campaign activities in the state by the executive Governor, Seyi Makinde last week.
Makinde had announced that all political campaign activities be suspended last week following an aggresive protest by youths in different parts of Ibadan.
Youths in Ibadan had taken to the streets to protest the hardship imposed on them by the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) over cash swap of the newly redesigned naira notes as well as scarcity of petrol.
A notification message sent by the Oyo State Secretary of the party, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke who also doubles as the Secretary of Makinde’s Omituntun 2.0 campaign organization indicated that the party will resume political campaign activities next week Monday February 13.
“I am glad to inform us that the Leadership of the Party in Oyo State will resume the suspended campaign activities in Oyo State on Monday 13th of February 2023
“Attached to this message is the approved activities of the revised Time Table of the campaign itinerary.
“We want to charge our members and Stakeholders to remain at their respective Local Governments and continue the hard work for the Party.
“It is certain that victory is assured for all PDP Candidates in Oyo State.” Adeleke said.
