The Police Department in Oyo state Police Department has gotten a new police commissioner of police in person of Mrs. Ngozi Onadeko.
Onadeko who will be the first female to occupy the position in the pace-setter state, has just been posted to lead the state’s police command and will be replacing Mr Nwachuckwu Enwonwu, who took over 7 months ago from Mr Shina Olukolu.
The order, according to police sources, was given yesterday by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and is to be carried out with immediate effect along with those of other commissioners of police to various commands.
However, the state police public relations officer, who also, was recently promoted to the rank of Chief Suprintendent of Police, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, could not be reached to ascertain and comment on this new development as at the time of filing this report.
