Oyo Tertiary Institutions’ Staff Issue Ultimatum to Gov Makinde over Removal of Consultants

Workers in the six state-owned tertiary institutions in Oyo State have again issued a 3-day ultimatum to the government over the 11 months arrears of minimum wage and the activities of platinum consultants.

The workers wrote in a statement that the JAC will continue the process of legitimate industrial actions already initiated due to the failure of the Government to appropriately address the two issues cited at the end of their seven-day ultimatum.

They added that commencing from Wednesday, February 24, 2021, there would be another strike for the Government to appropriately address both issues as contained in the communique released on February 11, 2021.

They however noted that if the government fail in a fair consideration, the JAC will no longer be able to guarantee the industrial harmony of all the institutions.
