PHOTOS: Makinde Hosts Muslim Community, Aare Musulumi to Iftar, Appreciates Support

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde has on Thursday hosted representatives of the Oyo State Muslim Communities and Islamic dignitaries to Iftar as the year 2023 Ramadan fasting ends.

Makinde, who made this known in a tweet on his official Twitter handle, seized the opportunity to congratulate Muslim faithfuls in the state and beyond for the conclusion of the ramadan period.

Makinde wrote: “Tonight, we hosted representatives of the Muslim community in Oyo State to Iftar. I congratulated them on another successful conclusion of the fast during Ramadan.

“I also thanked them for their support especially during the campaign period when there were attempts to divide us along ethnic and religious lines,” he added.

Recall that OyoAffairs.net had earlier reported that today, Friday is Eid-el-Fitri as Muslim faithfuls are expected to troop out and observe the eid prayer.
