The NYSC Director-General, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim represented by the Oyo State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Grace Ogbuogebe, has paid a condolence visit to the family of Olaleye Bukola Olukolade (IM/22A/2156) at the family compound in Ilora, Afijio local government area of Oyo state.
Late Bukola who was deployed to Imo state for her one year mandatory service met her ultimately death in a ghastly motor accident, on her way from Imo to Kwara state on relocation.
The Director-General who was represented by the State Coordinator, NYSC Oyo State, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe described the demise of the corps member as a great loss not only to the family but also to the NYSC.
She stated that the death of Bukola in her prime at the time she should be serving her country, was equally a loss to the nation.
The DG encouraged the parents to seek solace in God and be comforted knowing fully well that it is only Him that can offer comfort in a time like this.
He also prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, while encouraging her siblings to stay strong and not to allow the occurrence to weigh them down.
A token of support was thereafter presented to the family on behalf of the NYSC management.
In the company of the State Coordinator were the Assistant Director, Press & Public Relations, Mrs. Christy Olatoye and Asst. Director, Corps Welfare & Health Services, Mr Adeniyi Ade-Ayeni, Zonal Inspector, Oyo Zone and Local Govt. Inspector of Afijio Local Government.
