Makinde Commences Payment of 2014 Gratuities, Pays over N15bn to Pensioners in 31 months

The Oyo State Government today commenced the payment of backlog of 2014 gratuities to pensioners across the state.

The Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Alhaji Ayansiju Ganiyu while distributing cheques to retirees in the state civil service at the Ministry’s Boardroom, Secretariat, Ibadan also noted that Governor ‘Seyi Makinde has paid over 15 billion naira in the last 31 months to pensioners in Oyo state.

According to the commissioner, past administrations owed retirees a sum of 55.9 billion naira.

He said the present administration has off set the backlog of 2012, 2013 and has commenced the payment of 2014, adding that Governor Makinde has jacked up the payment of gratuity of retirees to 250 million naira monthly.
