President Tinubu Vows to Fight Corruption to Ruins

President Bola Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that his administration is committed to fighting corruption to ruins.

The fight against corruption is on, we will not look back, we will fight it to ruins,” he said.

The president spoke when he inaugurated the Red Rail Line on Thursday, February 29.

According to him, ‘Today is to be remembered for good, an evidence that it is good to dream, a serious validation of democracy’.

He also assured Nigerians that the country will be out of economic problems, ‘we just need to work hard with perseverance’.

President Tinubu said: “The momentum of greatness that we started has become unstoppable. It is a constant reminder that positive change and progress are possible, and we must attain it. We must adhere to our pledge through perseverance and consistency.

“When you put people at the centre of your vision and planning, you will see the value. I look forward to the completion of other phases.”

The president also took a swipe at the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) for its incessant strikes.

According to him, it is unacceptable to call for a strike in just nine months of an administration.

Tinubu said: “Calling for the strike in just nine months of an administration is unacceptable. NLC is not the voice of Nigeria. It should wait till 2027 if it is interested in joining the electoral process.”
