Seyi Makinde Commissions 400M Free Exercise Books For Indigent Pupils-Students

Consequent upon decisions thereafter reached at the first executive council meeting of Oyo state, the Oyo state governor, engineer Seyi Makinde, on Friday Commissioned exercise books to be distributed freely across public schools in the state.

The brief ceremony held at the executive council chamber, Agodi, Secretariat, Ibadan had in attendance notable academia across the state.

In his address, governor Makinde said the commissioning of the exercise books to be distributed freely to ingredient pupils and students across government own citadel of learning in the state is to complement the state’s free education policy.

While presenting the exercise books to students of Monatan High school, Comorehensive high school, Oke-Bola; Oke Ibadan high school, Urban Day Grammar School, others, the governor said he is confident that his council would brew more policies that would bring about accelerated development in the state.

The governor also revealed that an intervention classes will be opened for pupils and students in the state from 2:30PM to 4:30PM during the week while Saturday class Opens at 9AM to 1PM.

He enjoined parents and guardians to release their wards to attend the classes so as to ensure Oyo state restored its lost education status.

The 447, 257, 384,10 exercise books commissioned, is being six big notes exercise books of 60 leaves for each pupils at the primary and the junior level while six big notes exercise books of 80 leaves be given to students at the senior secondary school respectively.
