Shooting Stars of Ibadan Thrash Osun United, 3-0 to Continue Unbeaten Run

The Shooting Stars Sport Club (3SC) of Ibadan have continued their unbeaten run with a splendid performance against their neighbour; Osun United of Osogbo in a 3 goal thriller early this morning at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The Nigeria National League Match Day Five game which was initially scheduled to be played yesterday was postponed to today due to a communication lag between match officials and the league organizers.

The match started on a rather slow thrust for the Oluyole warriors but gathered momentum at about 33 minutes into the game when Malomo Ayodeji and Anthony Okachi combined well to break through the visitor’s defense only to be stopped by the Osun United goalkeeper.

The Oluyole warriors after its triple substitution came back alive in the second half of the match when Gafar Olafimihan headed in a well flicked-in free kick by Malomo Ayodeji in the 60th minute.

Goals from Malomo Ayodeji in the 68th minute and another by Hycient Nwakegwu who came in as a substitute for Malomo in the 86th minute of the match made it 3 goals to nothing in favor of the Oluyole warriors of Ibadan as they remain unbeaten in the 5th match of the season.
