Hon. Sunday Dare, the Minister of Youth and Sports Development and the Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland, on Sunday donated a Sports Arena to his home town, Ogbomoso.
The sports facility, DAD (Daniel Ayoola Dare) Foundation Sports Arena, is a special project built by the minister and donated to the community, to increase youth participation in sporting activities even as a means of giving back to Ogbomoso community.
The grand commissioning ceremony will attract crème de la crème in sports world, among whom are leaders of the sports writers in Oyo state.
It was gathered that the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development has also roofed the Sọun Township Stadium Pavilion; provided free eye glasses; donated a bus to the Federal Polytechnic Ayede; donated hostels to Federal Polytechnic Ayede; trained the youths on entrepreneurship skills; facilitated 80-bed capacity hospital; facilitated 1.3 billion naira ecological project; facilitated the renovation of National Youth Development Centre Iresaapa; donation of laptops to LAUTECH ICT department, distribution of COVID Relief Packages, much more and still counting.
In his remarks at the grand commissioning, the minister said the Sports Arena is situated in Ogbomoso, to serve all the 5 local governments and 7 local council development areas in Ogbomosoland.
