TESCOM Begins CBT for Intending Teachers, Gives Special Recognition to First Class Graduates

The Computer Based Test organized by the Oyo State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, has begun its computer-based test to recruit teachers today.

Oyo Affairs correspondent, who monitored the exercise at the University of Ibadan, Distance learning centre, venue of the CBT, reported that proper arrangements were put in place for the exercise including COVID-19 preventive measures.

The Officials of TESCOM wore branded T’shirts for identification and examined the temperature of applicants. There were also several handwashing facilities positioned at strategic places as part of efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, Mrs Grace Oderinde, assured applicants that the CBT would be merit-based.

Mrs Oderinde, however, hinted that the government would give special recognition to applicants with First Class certificates and persons living with disabilities.

Some of the applicants while speaking with OyoAffairs correspondent, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the examination and commended the government for zero payment for the whole recruitment exercise.
