Two Arrested for Allegedly Kidnapping Ex-UI DVC, Others

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with the kidnap of a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Adigun Agbaje, and some others.

The Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Williams, who made this known on a radio programme in Ibadan, the state capital, said that two suspects had been arrested following the incident.

It would be recalled that Agbaje and others were kidnapped around 6 pm near the Guru Maharaji area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on October 29, 2022.

He was returning from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye when the bandits shot his car and abducted him along with others who were waylaid. They were released after paying ransom to the kidnappers.

In the meantime, the Oyo State Police Command has been on the trail of the kidnappers.
